People Powered Retrofit Website
People Powered Retrofit is an independent, not-for-profit cooperative helping homeowners across Greater Manchester plan and deliver successful retrofit projects. As a community benefit society, it offers impartial guidance at every stage, from understanding a home to coordinating the building work.
Alongside its homeowner service, People Powered Retrofit supports community groups, local authorities and social enterprises to grow retrofit locally, combining hands-on mentoring with its own assessment software, the Home Retrofit Planner.
Our goal was to redesign the website so it clearly communicates this dual offer, presents retrofit as a guided journey rather than a flat list of services, and helps both homeowners and organisations find the right starting point with confidence.
A clearer path through retrofit
The new People Powered Retrofit website reframes the organisation's services as a step-by-step journey. Rather than presenting everything as a flat grid, the site guides homeowners through three clear stages: understanding their home, designing the project and carrying out the building work, with the Home Retrofit Planner positioned as the gateway that sets everything in motion.
The redesign also gives organisations a dedicated route into mentoring, partnerships and software licensing, while real homeowner case studies build trust and show the work in practice. Built in Webflow, the result is a responsive, accessible and easily editable site that turns a complex service into something simple to navigate and ready to scale.
